Happy Saturday!

I woke today to a cloudy, but really beautiful morning! We had an unbelievable thunderstorm last night that lasted for about an hour... summer is definitely here and that thunderstorm certainly cooled the air down from yesterday. As I write this now, the cloud is clearing and Sun is coming out! What a beautiful day it's going to be here in NB.

We will be adding some new items to our shop this weekend, the popsicle/freezie pop kozies and tutus in the colours suggested by our Facebook fans! Thanks again for all of the beautiful suggestions, expect to see these creations come to life in the coming weeks!

Tomorrow is Canada Day and it will be spent in Fredericton at the Canada Day Block Party! I am really looking forward to it as it is my baby girl, Little E's, first Canada Day!! She will proudly be sporting a Canadian Tutu, Eh at least once during the day... watch for a picture on our Facebook group!

In case I don't make it onto the computer tomorrow, I just want to take a couple of lines to wish all of our Canadian friends a safe and Happy Canada Day! So, have a poutine, a Timbit, some extra maple syrup on your pancakes, a nanaimo bar, or something else truly Canadian to celebrate our nation's 145th birthday!! Enjoy your long weekend, everyone!!!

Iron-Ons!

Hey Everyone!!

We haven't been blogging as much as we planned to (our apologies!!!), we've been working on launching our Etsy and Storenvy shops and crafting new items! BUT... we plan on blogging much, much more now!!! Expect lots of fun on the Little Pink Thread blog; new items, giveaways, recipes, pins from Pinterest, and much more!!

So, we start today by introducing our iron-ons... check them out on our Etsy shop! I (Em) have a 6.5 month old baby girl (Little E) and received the monthly iron-ons as a gift from Angela!! They are so amazing, it is a lot of fun to look back already and see the changes in our baby girl... and it's only been half a year!! So, we've crafted our own and other iron-ons for all of you to check out!!

Relay for Life

We are lucky enough to support a fantastic cause this weekend by making donations of our handmade creations to Team Believe for an auction being held at the Relay for Life in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Taken from the Relay for Life website Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life is more than just a fundraiser. It is an opportunity to get together with family and friends and celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back in the hope of finding a cure for this terrible disease. Relay is fun, fulfilling, and your participation gives strength to our mission to eradicate cancer. Walk with us in this inspirational 12-hour overnight event as we come together and fight to make cancer history. The Relay for Life is a wonderful fundraiser that we are proud to support. We have donated a tutu, two beanies with hair clips, and a crochet headband with interchangeable appliqués.

Yarn Head Gear

Little PINK Thread began with yarn head gear: handmade crochet items, mainly hats but also dabbling into appliques, barefoot sandals, headbands, and other items. I will begin by saying that the crocheting is self-taught, in addition to lessons given by our Great Grandmother (Great-Gram). Angela is the crochet queen, she is so talented in this craft that it amazes me! I (Emily) have recently been taught by our Mom, but am still struggling with learning... it will come with practice though! So, this post will showcase Angela's creations...I know that Angela gets her inspiration from her children, her Princess and her Monkey! And, I know how much pride she takes in her crochet creations... they are beautiful. I remember the first hat that I got was a hot pink owl hat and I got so many compliments on that hat; strangers would stop me when I was downtown and tell me "nice hat, where can I get one!". It is one of my favourite hats to wear, even now!

So, without further ado... here are some photos showcasing my sister's talent!!

With this tutu all you have to do is select the colours from below and we customize according to your needs! Should you need a photo prop, wedding accessory, or dress-up item we are here to help! We will do everything we can to meet your needs.

You can choose up to 4 colours from the 55 we have available in our inventory! If the colour you are looking for is not listed we will try our best to find it for you! You can also choose the waistband (elastic, ribbon, or crochet headband), and the length of the tutu!

Prices are subject to the material costs (custom materials may cost more than the stock). We will do everything possible to make the best price available for your request. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us!!

Hi Everyone!!

Welcome to Little PINK Thread!! We have been feverishly working to create this blog in addition to the store we've made on Storenvy: http://littlepinkthread.storenvy.com/ . New products have been added, some that you have never seen before!!
